MXIE doesn't launch or an error message pops up when I try to launch MXIE

Try option one first. It that step doesn't resolve the issue, try option 2.

  1. This will usually resolve the issue.  Try this step first. If it fails to resolve the issue, then try item 2 below.
    1. Uninstall MXIE using your Control Panel | Add or Remove Programs option. 
    2. Reboot your computer
    3. Re-install MXIE.  If the problem is gone you’re done.

  2. If the first item above failed to successfully resolve the issue, try the following:
    1. Uninstall MXIE using the Control Panel | Add or Remove Programs option.
    2. Reboot your computer
    3. From your Start menu, click “Run” and enter “regedit” in the window, click [OK] button to proceed.
    4. On the left, click the [+] icon next to “HKEY_CURRENT_USERS” so all the folders appears in that folder. 
    5. Click the [+] icon next to “Software” to expand that folder.
    6. Scroll down to the folder labeled “Zultys”, click once on that folder and press the delete key on your keyboard.
    7. There may also be a folder labeled “Zultys Technologies”, if so, click once on that folder and press the delete key on your keyboard to delete that folder.
    8. Scroll down to the section labeled “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE” and click the [+] icon to expand and see the folders in that section.
    9. Scroll down and click the [+] next to the folder labeled “Software”.
    10. Scroll down to the “Zultys” folder, click once on Zultys, and press the delete key on your keyboard.
    11. Close the Reg Edit window.
    12. Click Start | My Computer and double-click the C drive from the list.
    13. Double-click the folder labeled “Program Files”
    14. Scroll down and click once on the folder labeled “Zultys” and press the delete key on your keyboard.
    15. Close the window and reboot your computer
    16. Install the proper version of MXIE making sure you select the proper version based on the Operating System on your computer.  To verify, click Start, right-click on My Computer and click on “Properties”.  Your operating system should be listed under ‘Systems’.  For example: “Microsoft Windows XP”. This means you should install the version of MXIE for XP. If it says “Vista” install the version for Vista, etc.

The problem should be completely resolved once a fresh and proper version of MXIE is installed.
